Relaxing and cooking around the campfire can be a great way to connect with nature and each other. 

● Using local wood helps protect the region from foreign microorganisms. There are many places to buy firewood along State Route 664 and often it is available at lodging sites. Check ahead for firewood availability. 

● Keep campfires safe by using designated fire rings, picnic areas, and campsites, and make sure it is fully extinguished before heading to bed. 

● Always be attentive to the fire and never leave it unattended. 

● Look for local fire bans and warnings. These are in place to protect you and the local areas from wildfires.
